Hands-on Training for Paediatric Dentists

Welcome to London Canada Bioclear Paediatric Learning Centre for the first Bioclear hands-on course exclusively for paediatric dentists. 

Your Instructor:

Jeffrey Richmond, BSc, DDS, FRCD(C)

Jeffrey is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, where he received his BSc in 1985, and his DDS in 1989. After completing an AEGD at the Eastman Dental Center, in Rochester, New York, he completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Toronto, in 1992. Jeffrey taught at UWO for a few years and has maintained a private practice in London, Ontario, as a solo practitioner, since 1996. 

Since 2018, Jeffrey has embraced The Bioclear Method. He has taken several in-person courses in Tacoma, and others virtually. Jeffrey has assisted Dr. Josh Solomon in teaching pediatric dentists The Bioclear Method in Livermore, CA, and Simpsonville, SC., and online.

The Bioclear Method has been transformative. Jeffrey has moved from a place where he avoided composite restorations altogether, to one in which he cannot even begin to imagine how he would place composite without Bioclear. 

Jeffrey is excited to bring hands-on Bioclear training to pediatric dentists in Canada. If you are going to place composite, it's time to place it using a unique, modern technique developed with composite in mind.

What you'll learn over two days.

DAY 1

  • Transitioning from GV Black to Clark Class II non-retentive preparations designed specifically for composite
  • Predictable and aesthetic class II restorations that mimic natural teeth
  • Treatment of severely hypomineralized/carious molars without stainless steel crowns
  • Proper removal of biofilm for predictable sealants and composite restorations
  • Quadrant strategy for multiple posterior class II restorations in permanent teeth

DAY 2

  • Class III restorations in primary and permanent teeth
  • Class IV fracture repairs that ensconce the tooth in composite (minimizing re-fracturing and maximizing aesthetics)
  • Restoration of peg laterals
